articolul). Ea a dat acolo cateva sfaturi foarte utile. Niste sfaturi care ar putea schimba imaginea cuiva instant.
Pana acum e bine; niste sfaturi, niste idei. Nimic rau.

Her photos impressed me and I said : I must show them. Must. Must. So… Mary was very happy to answer some questions and talk about her work and the last photo shoot. Enjoy!
1.When you started to photograph?
I have been taking photographs as a hobby for a while, but I never took photography very seriously and didn’t really know anything about it. I only started organising photoshoots with models about 8 months ago, and then late last year I started to learn more about the technical side of photography. I still feel I have much to learn but I’m enjoying the process a lot.
2. From where you got this passion?
I have always loved art, my mother is an artist and my father is a musician, so I’ve grown up with art as a big part of my life. I used to paint and draw as my art form and creative outlet, but now Photography has gradually developed into something I am very passionate about.
3. Why photography and not something else?
Photography is very special to me, I’m not sure how it has become so special, but I love it and can’t imagine not taking photographs, it’s just a part of who I am. I think photography is very accessible to a lot of people nowadays, and because there are so many photographers sharing their work online, it has really helped inspire me and has made me more determined to try and create my own style, improve my work and build my portfolio. Photography is really quite amazing when you think about it, it’s a piece of history that you can create with a camera by capturing something, I would probably photograph every person I’ve ever met if I could!
4. What does photography mean to you?
Photography used to be important for me as a diary, a way of documenting my life and my feelings, it was also an escape from reality for me, and I didn’t really share my photos with anyone. I do still photograph a lot of things as a sort of journal of my life, but now it has become more of a creative outlet, it’s also a way of showing people a beautiful world that I wish existed, or that I see could potentially exist. Photography is a medium for me to use my artistic energy.
5. What do you shoot mostly?
Lately I have been shooting models a lot, but before I got serious about photography the main things I shot were nature, street photos and children. I like to photograph all of these.
6. I saw that you are doing more and more portraits; What attracts you to people?
I think photographing people allows the most room for creativity, and I find there is something very special and unique about photographing people. One of my favourite photographers, Éduard Boubat, said “We are living photographs, photography reveals the image within us“, and I think this is why I love capturing people. I am keeping a little piece of that person, that I have revealed, preserved in an image that I have created, and this feels like magic somehow. I find people’s faces to be very interesting, and I love photographs that show human emotion, or capture the spirit of a person. Visually photographs of people are probably the most appealing for me, though I do love nature photography very much too and try to incorporate nature into my portraits as much as I can.
My last shoot was very simple and natural, with just the model and I, no makeup or styling team. The model, Kylie, is a really lovely person who I have done one shoot with before – we get along really well and I have found her to be a very easy and natural model to work with. Once we organised the shoot, it took a few tries to actually get to the beach as the weather and light weren’t right, but when we finally did it, it was great. We shot at sunset and were there for about one and a half or 2 hours. It was a hot day as it’s summer here, and the beach was filled with people walking their dogs, so we were constantly pausing to pat the dogs that came up to greet us (I have lots of behind the scenes photos with wet dogs running around in them!) Both of us got really wet from the hips down and were covered in sand by the end of the evening. The shoot didn’t take much planning, as this natural and spontaneous style is what I am most comfortable with and like doing best right now. I basically just had this idea for a peaceful and tranquil setting, with beautiful Kylie walking along the beach, staring out into the ocean and playing in the waves, and as she understands my style very well, it was easy to work with her, we had fun
I try to create a peaceful atmosphere in my images, through the work I do whilst shooting and also the post-processing work I do. I want my photographs to be calming and gentle, and make the viewer feel these things.
